Though our home remains in the heart of Georgia’s peach and pecan country, Paladin Pen is cultivating a devoted following among collectors and enthusiasts online and at pen shows throughout the country.
Our story began with founder Matt Eichenfels and his fascination with antique and vintage fountain pens. What started as the restoration of neglected writing instruments for his personal collection gradually became a serious study of their engineering, materials, history, and craftsmanship. Guided by the knowledge of respected figures within the pen community and years of hands-on experience, Matt developed the exacting eye for detail that would later shape Paladin Pen Company.
Our Story
Restoration soon grew into commissioned work, pen-show appearances, and a steadily expanding clientele. More importantly, years spent handling the remarkable writing instruments from generations past offered an invaluable education in what makes a pen enduring, pleasurable, and worthy of ownership.
That experience ultimately inspired something more ambitious: to create writing instruments of our own—pieces rooted in the finest traditions of the past, yet designed for the modern writer. From that vision, Paladin Pen Company was born.
